Why this directory exists
The hardest part of raising money is often not the pitch — it is figuring out which kind of money to chase in the first place. Founders waste months courting venture capitalists when a small business loan or a grant would have served them better, or burn through runway on cold outreach to investors who never fund their stage or sector. The information exists, but it is scattered across hundreds of websites, buried in jargon, and frequently polluted by directories that list fake firms or charge for placement.
We built Capital Raising Directory to be the opposite of that. It is a single, organized reference to the real institutions and programs that move capital, sorted by the eight funding paths most businesses actually use: venture capital, angel investors, crowdfunding platforms, loans and debt, grants, accelerators and incubators, private equity, and revenue-based financing — plus the cap-table and investor tools that support a modern raise.
What makes a listing
Every entry in this directory is a real, verifiable organization or an authoritative public funding program. Each one links directly to its official website so you can act on it immediately. We include nationally recognized names — the venture firms, accelerators, lenders, and platforms that founders already encounter — alongside government programs like SBA loans, Grants.gov, and the SBIR and STTR research programs.
Our data pledge
We do not fabricate company names, addresses, phone numbers, or listings. We do not invent ratings. When we are not certain a detail is accurate and verifiable, we leave it out. Every organization listed here is one you can independently confirm at its own official website.
How to use it
- Start with the funding path. Decide whether you want dilutive capital (equity) or non-dilutive capital (loans, grants, revenue-based financing), then browse that category.
- Match your stage. Pre-seed founders should look at angels and accelerators; recurring-revenue businesses at revenue-based financing; established companies at private equity.
- Go to the source. Every listing links to the organization's own site — read their actual criteria before you reach out.
- Tell us what's missing. If you know a legitimate capital source we have not listed, submit it for editorial review.

A note on what we are not
We are an informational directory, not a broker, lender, investment adviser, or placement agent. We do not solicit investments, take a cut of any deal, or recommend specific securities. Inclusion in this directory is not an endorsement, and nothing here is financial, legal, or investment advice. Always conduct your own due diligence and consult qualified professionals before entering any financing arrangement.
